Judge Richard Wright serves as Judge of the Licking County Court of Common Pleas, Domestic Relations Division. He was elected to the Domestic Relations Court in 2008 and 2014.
Judge Wright has served as President of the Ohio Association of Domestic Relations Judges 2014-15 and currently serves as Immediate Past President of the OADRJ. He has served on the Ohio Supreme Court Commission on Technology, and Committee for Alternative Dispute Resolution. He currently serves on the Ohio Judicial Conference Law and Procedure and Court Technology Committees. He has previously served on the Ohio Judicial Conference Executive Committee 2012-2015. Judge Wright is currently the Administrative Judge for the Domestic Relations Division.
Judge Wright has served as an instructor for the Ohio Judicial College and has presented at various bar associations and continuing legal education seminars. He is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, and Licking County Bar Association as well as the Ohio Association of Domestic Relations Judges, and Ohio Judicial Conference and is a member of the Association of Family and Conciliatory Courts.
Prior to his election Judge Wright was in private practice in Licking and Franklin Counties involving the general practice of law with a focus in domestic relations and criminal law from 1987- 2008. He received his law degree from Capital University Law School in 1987, and graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics in 1982.
