Over Thirty Five Years of Litigation Experience
Born and raised in Long Island, N.Y., Ms. Fine’s father was a Manhattan Civil Litigation Attorney her older brother is a Federal Labor Law Judge in Washington, D.C., and her younger brother a Veterinarian. Mona moved to Southern California following graduation from college with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. There she earned two Master’s Degrees, one in Special Education and one in Educational Administration, before attending Pepperdine University, School of Law, receiving her Juris Doctor degree in 1987.
Mona’s career was filled with many diverse achievements. She taught learning disabled students, became Assistant Principal at an alternative public high school in California, acted as a Special Education Administrator and served as an Educational Consultant for Charter schools. As Professor Fine, she was Director of the Academic Success Program at Western State University, School of Law in California. As a result of her efforts, several of the students in her program graduated top of their class. She was also an adjunct professor at Central Ohio Technical College.
In 1984 Mona began her career in law. She worked her way through law school as a Law Clerk with some very prestigious law firms in Los Angeles and then spent the next twenty years as a civil litigation attorney. She opened her own firm in Orange County in 1999, building her practice to support four attorneys and eight staff within a six year period of time.
Big change was again underway when she followed her dreams to settle down in the country and found herself in picturesque Granville, Ohio. There she combined teaching college with practicing law both in the corporate environment and some smaller firms, when she finally took that leap to further her aspirations. Mona hung her own shingle, the “Law Offices of Mona J. Fine,” in the Center of Granville. Thereafter, she was offered the opportunity to purchase the Law Office of David L. Hite per his request, upon his passing. As a result, she has relocated her office to Newark to better serve her new clientele. Clients find a peaceful, supportive retreat to seek strong, yet compassionate counsel. Mona is a conscientious, thoughtful litigator. She is responsive to her clients and works toward achieving the desired results in the most economic fashion. The rapid growth of her firm in California signifies the support she has received from her loyal clients and the community.
